Alley Cat Acres. They “(re)connect folks with food through building community run farms on underutilized urban space.” And they organize their incredible community support to visit and volunteer, and our farm was lucky to welcome them! On Saturday, July 16th, Alley Cat Acres brought volunteers down from Seattle and introduced us to With Church, an alternative church that supports young adults in volunteering in their community.
With this incredible work force and energy, our farm benefited and finished many projects that we had been slowing working on. These include, cleaning our green house and seeding the next starts, digging a trench to connect electricity to our pump, and doing all kinds of work in the field on the Learning Farm and with the farmers.
The below video was made by Sean Conroe, and it is great!
Phenomenal! Thanks again Alley Cat Acres, and Tori and Sean for all of your organizing and support!
