More Community Gardens in King County

A King County Council has approved a plan to make 24 unused plots of land available for community gardens.  A community garden is typically defined as any land that is gardened by a group of people, allowing individuals to grow food for themselves or their community.  Community gardens have many benefits, such as promoting healthy eating, providing an outdoor recreational activity, addressing food security, and building vibrant communities.

Details of the plan can be found here.
