A new report from Feeding America, a national network of 200 food banks, demonstrates that food insecurity is still a problem around the nation. Across Washington state, the study found an estimated 14.8 percent of people suffering from food insecurity, which is a little better than the national average of 16 percent for all counties in 2009 (the latest year for which relevant data was available).
